FPP's three-year-old class curriculum is designed to inspire little hearts and minds to find and foster a love of learning through play. The three-year-old program focuses on free play that hones fine and gross motor skills; encourages role-playing and creative expression, and teaches being a good listener, taking turns and making friends; and includes themed units of study on shapes, colors and counting; and number, letter and name awareness.

Our three's teachers model and encourage problem solving, self-help and cooperation, and work daily with students on social and emotional development skills. Students explore, discover and play. Our fun learning environment is regularly enhanced with science, music and movement, and games. 

Our four-year-olds' curriculum includes the introduction of letters and phonics, rhyming, numbers and math skills. Seasonal themes and science activities are expanded as students use a hands-on approach.

The children learn through play during circle and activity time, where songs and games are incorporated into our lessons. Music and art are an integral part of our program. Social skills such as taking turns and following directions are practiced. Children also learn to assume responsibility for personal and school property. We promote individuality and self-confidence through art and group discussions.

Our goal is to assist each child in developing independence, confidence, a positive self-image, and of course a love of learning!

“Fours/Fives” is an activity oriented program designed to meet the social, emotional and academic needs of active older four and five year olds.

Phonemic awareness is nurtured and letter recognition games are used in beginning reading skills. Thematic journaling is used to further encourage interest in reading, writing and spoken language.  The children also create class books to share with their families.  Math skills are built upon with increased numeral recognition, estimating, patterning and sorting.

Imagination and creativity are encouraged in all aspects of the class.  Science experiments, music, art and educational field trips round out our exciting program.
