Shine God's Light!

"You are the light of the world.  A city built on a hill cannot be hid.  No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on  the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:13-16

God’s light shines through us to those who seek light in their lives yet often find themselves in darkness.  This light serves as a beacon of hope and witness to God’s presence in the world through the missions and ministries of Flemington Presbyterian Church.

FPC uses the resources that God graciously gives us to carry out the missions and ministries to which we are called.  Our missions and ministries are supported by the stewardship of our members and friends.  We are committed to Shine God’s Light by welcoming, growing, caring, and being generous.  You make a difference by enabling our church to change lives.

Our annual focus on stewardship is an opportunity for you and your family to move into a time of prayerful contemplation, to ask God for direction and resolution.  This time of reflection allows you to more deeply experience God’s blessings as you share in the financial commitment to fulfill our mission, to Shine God’s Light.

Why are Christians called to be financially generous?

All that we have—material possessions, money and talent—are gifts from God.  As stewards of these blessings, we are called to use all of our gifts in response to God’s goodness and generosity.  We can express our gratitude through faithful living and giving as disciples of Christ.
