We will once again put our faith into action as The Church Has Left the Building! After a brief worship service, we will join the CROP Walk, living out our mission to Shine God’s Light one step at a time. Each step is an act of hospitality, offering food, care, and hope to neighbors both near and far.
The CROP Walk is a nationwide effort organized by Church World Service (CWS) to raise funds to end hunger and provide relief locally and around the globe. This year, CWS is celebrating 80 years of service, stepping into the world’s darkest moments with courage, hope, and action.
Here’s how you can take part:
Walk with us! Register by joining the FPC Team. Just click the blue “Join The Team” button. The route includes a 0.4-mile short loop.
Prefer not to walk? Join us in Fellowship Hall to decorate bags for Meals on Wheels, adding a little encouragement and joy to those served in our community.
Want to make an additional impact? You are welcome to invite friends and family to sponsor your walk with a donation. Fundraising is completely optional—we would simply love to have you participate!
Come to worship at 9:30 a.m. on October 18, wearing your Shine God’s Light t-shirt and your walking shoes. Don’t have an FPC Shine God’s Lightt-shirt? We’ll give you one that morning.
Whether you walk a loop, decorate a Meals on Wheels bag, or simply join us for the morning, there’s a place for you. We’re looking forward to leaving the building and Shining God’s Light together in our community!
